Ural State Medical University was included in the 9th edition of the Best Russian Universities Ranking (RAEX-100). Aside from conducting an analysis of statistical data, over 60 000 responders, including students, alumni and academicians were polled.

Only 6 universities of the Urals were included in the ranking with only two medical schools included – Ural and Tyumen State Medical Universities.
