How to apply

 

 

1. I am an international student, aspiring to become a great doctor. What programmes can I study at Ural State Medical University?

We are glad to offer our international students programmes in General Medicine, Dentistry, Pediatrics and Pharmacy. You can see the list of programmes and tuition here.

2. Can I study in English?

We can offer you to apply the bilingual programme in General Medicine. It is provided in two mediums: first two years are in English with transition into Russian starting third year.

3. Can I learn Russian at Ural State Medical University

Yes, you can study Russian language at the preparatory faculty of Ural State Medical University. You can find out more here

4. What documents do I need for application?

To be eligible for application you must provide:

  1. Complete documents of your previous education, both diploma/school leaving certificate and transcript*
  2. Notarized translation of your diploma/certificate and transcript
  3. Scan of your valid international passport
  4. Notarized translation of your passport
  5. Scan of your health certificate and HIV-test results (in English)
    After your arrival to Russia you must submit originals of the documents 1-4, and also:
  6. Certificated of recognition for your documents of previous education, if applicable
  7. 8 3х4 photos
  8. HIV test certificate**
  9. 086-U health statement**
  10. Vaccination and medical certificates**
  11. Medical insurance certificate***

* Please note that documents of applicants from some countries must be legalized or attested in the manner, specified by applicable legislation. You can find more about legislation at the website of Main State Center for Education Evaluation – nic.gov.ru
** Obtained in Russia after your arrival
*** Can be obtained either in Russia or abroad. Please note that in the case of the latter you must make sure that the territory of Russian Federation is covered in your plan

5. Are there any entrance exams?

Yes, all applicants must pass entrance exams.
Those applying for programmes, taught in Russian, have to pass three exams: Russian language, Biology and Chemistry
Those applying for bilingual programme in General Medicine must pass two exams: Biology and Chemistry

If you are applying after finishing a preparatory course at other University in Russia and have valid studet visa, you can apply for on-campus exams

If you are abroad, the exams can be taken online

6. What are the deadlines and when do the classes start?

For programmes in Russian medium:
Enrollment campaign opens on June, 1st
Document deadline is August, 3rd
Entrance examination start on August, 4th

For General Medicine bilingual programme:
Enrollment campaign opens on June, 1st
Document deadline is October, 9th
Entrance examination start on October, 10th
