August 26th marks the 77th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation (USSR at the time) and the Arab Republic of Egypt!
According to Daniil Chechikhin, head of the Office for International Education and Cooperation of Ural State Medical University, Egypt remains one of key partners of Russia in international cultural exchange. “In 2019 over 7,5 citizens of Egypt were enrolled to study at Russian universities, and judging by the early results of the enrollment campaign to Ural State Medical University, a lot of graduates from that country still consider Russia a major destination for higher education”, he added.
2020 was appointed the Russo-Egyptian bilateral year of cultural cooperation. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19 some of the events were rescheduled to 2021.
