The XXIII Congress of Pediatricians of Russia with the international participation «Actual Problems of Pediatrics» started in Moscow. The Ural State Medical University (USMU) was one of the event organizers, with rector Olga Kovtun leading the delegation of specialists.

«Tatiana Semenova, the Deputy Minister of Health of Russian Federation, spoke at the first plenary meeting. The section on pediatric education was attended by Irina Kupeeva, Director of the Department of Medical Education and Health Personnel Policy of the Russian Ministry of Health. Our delegation had also presented reports» – says Olga Kovtun.

The Congress of Pediatricians of Russia took place during three days – from the 5^th to the 7^th of March. The opening ceremony summarized results of the several contsts: «Children’s doctor 2020», «Children’s nurse 2020», «Pediatric medical organization 2020».

The key topics of the congress were: primary healthcare for children, scientific and practical aspects of the development of pediatrics, pediatric education, rare diseases and social pediatrics.
