On Tuesday, November 15, students of 1-2 courses officially met with Kovtun Olga Petrovna the rector of the Ural State Medical University. Before the meeting with the rector a tour of the art gallery in the “Main Avenue” at 8 Lenin st. was conducted for students. Warm and friendly atmosphere from the very beginning provided comfortable conversation. Olga Petrovna told about her admission to pediatrics and shared important thoughts about studying at a medical university. The rector answered the students’ questions and they discussed the role of the doctor’s profession saying that the students are great fellows, that being very young they made the right choice. The meeting was not only interesting, but also informative. Olga Petrovna spoke about the concept of “4P-medicine” which is aimed not at “rapid response” to disorders that have already occurred, but at preventing possible dysfunctions and pathologies of the body. At the end of the meeting, Olga Petrovna wished all students success and high results in their studies and medicine.
