The hackathon on the topic «Digital Solutions in the Medicine» will be held on the 27th-29th pf April in the territory of the Ural Enterprise Holding «Shwabe». His goal is to research for new ideas with the subsequent implementation of the best.
Ural Opto-Mechanical Factory named after E. S. Yalamova (UOMF) will take the event of the Holding. Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russian Federation B. N. Yeltsin (UrFU), Ural State Medical University (USMU), SC Rostekh and Union of machine builders of Russia will act partners. The project will be implemented with the support of the Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center of the world level «Advanced Production Technologies and Materials».
The program includes three-days intensive, during which work will be carried out with practitioners in the field of the product creation and promotion, communication with representatives of specialized companies. Hackathon’s participants will create an innovative product on one of the given topics. It can be a solution for collecting and transmitting data from medical devices, a portable gadget with an ECG definition function, a non-contact device for measuring the patient’s virtual parameters, a project Flexible-chamber or a medical information system for the cardiology needs.
Participation in the event will take 50 people. Teams are formed from students of the Ural universities – UrFU and USMU, as well as operating engineers and designers UOMF.
At the end of the event, the organizers will choose winners in four nominations: the best engineering, innovative and technological solution, also the best elaboration of the idea.
UOMF adopts Technical Hackathon for the second time. This year, competition of students and existing engineers and designers take place from 27th of April to 29th of April.
Olga Kovtun, Rector of USMU, noted: «The interaction of Ural State Medical University and holding «Shvabe» enterprises has been implemented over several years. We work together on the reengineering of medical equipment, the development of industrial design. Today this is great importance, because clinicians who put the task of engineers based on how to monitor the state of patients, increase the effectiveness of treatment and diagnosis. Of course, all these elements are included in educational program of our students».
