On November 4 to 19 2020, the Interregional Olympiad in Pediatrics and Neonatology, dedicated to the anniversary of the Faculty of Pediatrics, was held at the Yaroslavl State Medical University.

The “Intelligently Adapted Mix” team of Ural State Medical University, consisting of the pediatric faculty students van Kovrizhnykh (OP-605), Daria Surovtseva (OP-610), Maxim Lapshin (OP-601), Yulia Kalmykova (OP- 502) and Anastasia Ashcheulova (OP-506), took 2nd place at the Olympiad, gaining almost 200 points. In total, 37 teams from different medical universities of the country took part in the Olympiad.

“This is far from the first victory of our team in the Olympiads – in May 2019 we took first place at the “Virtuoso of Pediatrics” Olympiad, and in November – 3rd place at the VII All-Russian Olympiad in Pediatrics at the St. Peterburg State Pediatric Medical University. The current Olympiad consisted of 3 stages – selection testing, tasks in pediatrics and tasks in neonatology,” said Ivan Kovrizhnykh.
