On June 6, 2023 we celebrate the birthday of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin to support and develop multilingualism and cultural diversity, the UN celebrates the Day of the Russian Language. On this significant day, the Ural State Medical University hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas, certificates and prizes to international students who are winners and participants of the international project “Total dictation” (“TruD” test).

Every year the number of international students of the USMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia, who want to test their knowledge of the Russian language, is growing. This year, the TruD test united 65 students of USMU: those who have just started learning Russian and those who are already fluent in it.

Chairman of the Ural Guild of Teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language Aleksey Botalov presented diplomas and certificates to the participants. Diplomas with honors were given to 43 students, 9 of them got 100 points for the test. Aleksey Botalov gave prizes to the winners and participants of the test. The students received tickets to the museum “Made in the USSR”, as well as certificates to visit the bouldering climbing wall.

The Chairman of the UGP RCT expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the “TruD” test from the Ural State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia and presented letters of thanks to Olga Olshvang – the head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication, to Olga Sarafanova – the coordinator of the project and Associate Professor of the Department, to Aniya Zakiryanova – Associate Professor of the Department, and to Marina Pervova – Senior Teacher.
