On July 6 2022 Ural Medical University took part in the second day of the business program of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM-2022 Industrial Transition: from Challenges to new opportunities”.
Within the framework of the panel discussion “Intellectual potential of universities for the development of Russian industry”, the participants heads of higher education and business discussed the following questions: “How to implement a university project and put it on commercial rails?”, “What are the barriers to productive cooperation of companies in the real sector of the economy with universities? “. Oleg Churilov, Director of the Department for the Development of Technological Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, explained that a federal project is currently being developed to create startup studios aimed at maximizing the involvement of university employees and students in technological entrepreneurship. According to the expert, the studios will be an organization through which the university will be able to enter into long-term legal relations with industrial partners. The speaker also noted that both sides will benefit: corporations will see the finished product or technology, and universities will register the results of their intellectual activity and will be able to implement a startup within a specific production.
As part of the second day of the business program of the exhibition, Agreements on cooperation between UGMU and institutional and industrial partners were signed.
Rector of the Ural State Medical University Olga Kovtun and Rector of the Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin Viktor Koksharov signed an Agreement “On the development of educational, research and socially significant projects in the field of nuclear medicine”. Scientists will jointly develop and create radiopharmaceuticals that they are in demand for maintaining health, early diagnosis and timely detection of socially significant diseases of the population.
The agreement of the technological and medical support for the creation of artificial lung ventilation was signed by the rector of the Ural Federal University Viktor Koksharov and Rector of the Ural State Medical University Olga Kovtun and the acting director of the Ural Instrument-Making Plant Yuri Valutov.
Rector of the Ural State Medical University Olga Kovtun and Director General of the Ural Electromechanical Plant Stanislav Bogoyavlensky signed an agreement on the development of cooperation in the field of medical instrumentation. The hardware complex “NeuroSmartex” developed by the plant’s employees is a new technology for evaluating neurocognitive functions, which allows recording the exact parameters of cognitive processes: attention, dynamic praxis, arbitrary control, memory.
