Digital Solutions in the Field of Medicine», organized by the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Machinery Manufacturers Union of Russia, the State Corporation “Ростех”, JSC “НПО автоматики”, the Ural Federal University (UrFU) and the Ural State Medical University (USMU). From 7 to 9 of December teams formed from pupils -representatives of ГАНОУ СО “Дворец Молодежи”, Children’s Technopark “Кванториум”, students, engineers, IT specialists and mentors of various specialties developed projects in such areas as non-invasive systems and complexes, digitalization of medical equipment, new solutions for an organization of a midwife centers.
Teams presented 10 projects on various topics, including a voice assistant in polyclinics, test systems for determining the fertility of women by sweat composition and body temperature, measuring the presence of blood phosphates. According to the results of the competition, the experts chose 3 winning teams.
The team of the 6th year student of the USMU pediatric faculty Lada Pastukhova took the third place in the competition. The participants presented the project “Ланцекот-57” – the device for taking blood from children. This device is a finger cot made in the form of a cat. The use of a device will avoid stressful situations for children and their parents during an unpleasant procedure.
The project presented by students of USMU Anastasia Konstantinova and Veronika Kutuzova “Non-invasive analyzer of the cellular composition of blood” entered the top three winners. In this project it was proposed to decipher the leukocyte formula using an ultrasound machine.
The first place was taken by the “CosmoScience” team, which presented the project “Ultrasound scanner with arteriovenous vision”. A member from USMU in the team was a 1-year student Polina Paskevich. Under the guidance of a mentor (associate professor of the Dermatovenerology and Life Safety faculty Ksenia Sorokina), the team has developed an device that will avoid complications arising from cosmetic procedures.
The experts noted a high relevance level of presented projects and new technological solutions that can be used in practical healthcare.
