From November 18 to November 20, the Concert Choir of Students of the Ural State Medical University took part in the IV All-Russian Choir Festival of Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities “With Musicat Heart”, organized by the Russian National Research Medical University. N. I. Pirogov (Moscow).
As part of the Festival, our choir, along with colleagues from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Smolensk, Kazan, Tver and many other cities, performed on the stages of the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital, the Central House of Artists and the Second Moscow Medical Center itself.
A multifaceted program was performed, which deserved a storm of applause from the venerable audience and the unceasing “Bravo!” from colleagues in the shop and a highly respected jury.
In addition to the performances themselves, all participants took part in a master class, where, under the guidance of a teacher from the Russian Academy of Music. The Gnesins were taught choral compositions of high complexity, compositions for professional choral performers. Both students and choirmasters coped with the work at a high level. The organizers of the festival rightly noted that a medical student cannot be talented in only one thing, be it narrow or broad. A medical student is always talented in everything, he simply MUST be talented!
Both the audience and the highly respected jury rightly awarded our wonderful choir the Audience Choice Award! We wish our students and residents new creative success! Vivat, Music!!!
The concert choir of students and residents of USMU sincerely thanks the rector Olga Petrovna Kovtun, the Department for educational and extracurricular work and personally its leader Tatyana Yegorovna Yarunina for the opportunity to participate in such wonderful events, and the artistic director Anna Petrovna Novikova, choirmaster Artyom Aleksandrovich Korkin and concertmaster Nadezhda Borisovna Kozlova — for professional skills, patience and love for us, your students faithful to Music and Medicine!
