The Head of the Department is the Honored doctor of the Russian Federation, honored health care professional, doctor of medical sciences, Professor Sergey Yegorovich Zholudev

The Department of orthopedic dentistry was established in 1978. The first head of the Department was the candidate of medical sciences, associate Professor Pogodin Vasily Semenovich, since 1992 the head of the Department is Professor, doctor of medical sciences Zholudev Sergey Yegorovich.

The Department of orthopedic dentistry is the graduate department of the faculty of dentistry, it is actively engaged in educational, scientific, clinical, organizational and methodical activities, responsible for this area in the Ural region.
Teaching staff of the Department have won many times in the competitions of professional skills, as well as they became winners of the award of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region in the nomination “Professor of the year” (Zholudev S.Ye., 2013), “Teacher of the year” (Dimitrova, Yu.V, 2012). Zholudev S.E. is the author of 2 FIRO textbooks and 3 UMO textbooks issued within 2008-2013.
