The Open European Championship in powerlifting and power sports «Olympia – 8», which was attended by more than 500 people from 11 countries.

Andrey Panchenkov (OLD – 230), a student of the Ural State Medical University (USMU), successfully competed in the weight category up to 75 kg – he took 1st place and fulfilled the standard of the Master of sports of international class.

The future doctor was preparing for the competition under the guidance of the senior coach of the Russian national powerlifting team, Vladimir Blinkov – docent of the Department of Physical Culture of USMU, as well as Olesya Braslavets – assistant of the Department of Physical Culture, coach of the USMU national powerlifting team.
