Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Faculty Pediatrics and Propedeutics of Childhood Diseases of the Ural State Medical University (USMU) Natalia Sannikova became an honorary member of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia. The corresponding diploma was awarded to Natalya Evgenievna at the XXIII Congress of Pediatricians, which took place in Moscow.

Natalya Evgenievna graduated from the Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute with a degree in Pediatrics in 1965. She was head of the Department of faculty pediatrics and propaedeutics of childhood diseases for 27 years (1988-2015), she was dean of the faculty of pediatrics for 16 years. She was elected a deputy of the District Council of People`s Deputies of Sverdlovsk, a delegate to the All-Union Congress of doctor`s.

Natalya Sannikova is the chief freelance pediatric nutritionist of the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, and an expert on the development of the National Program for Optimizing Feeding of Infants in the First Year of Life in the Russian Federation and the National Program for Optimizing Nutrition for Children aged 1 to 3 years in the Russian Federation. In 2007, Natalya Evgenievna was awarded the honorary title «Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation». In 2015, she was elected an academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, in 2016 she was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the FSBEI HE USMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

5 Doctor`s and 23 PhD`s theses were defended under the leadership of N.E.Sannikova and about 400 scientific papers, 36 monographs and textbooks have been published. Natalya Evgenievna has been awarded medals «For Valiant Labor» (1986), «Veteran of Labor» (1982), Certificates of Merit of the Ministry of Health of the RSFSR (1990),of the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region (1999, 2009), of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region (2010),of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia ( 2016).
