Amendments to the Federal Law “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” came into force.
The new provisions establish that foreign citizens arriving in Russia after December 29, 2021 for a period of more than 90 days, including for the purpose of education, must undergo a medical examination, fingerprint registration and photography – within 90 days from the date of arrival on the territory of the Russian Federation (indicated in the migration card).
The initial period of your stay in Russia is limited to 90 days and can be extended only after the completion of the procedures.

The fingerprint registration is carried out in the district police departments. Students living in the dormitories of the University undergo the procedure at the UVM OP-9 at the address: Krasnouralskaya, 2a Street, office 7. Working hours: Mon-Thurs, from 14.00 to 17.00.
Foreign citizens who had not completed the procedure of medical examination, fingerprint registration and photographing in the timely matter are obliged to leave the territory of the Russian Federation.
Who is exempt from mandatory procedures:
— citizens of the Republic of Belarus;
– family members of officials of international (interstate, intergovernmental) organizations, as well as employees of diplomatic and consular institutions in Russia;
— foreign citizens with dual citizenship, one of which is Russian citizenship;
– foreign citizens – holders of a temporary or permanent residence permit.
